Programs
Adult
Informational, educational, an evening out for you! Come alone, bring your spouse, a friend, a neighbor.
Sometimes it’s a local expert, could be a travel program, or maybe an author. Join a book discussion group, or start a new one! Not only do we have the programs you want, we’ve got the resources for you to learn more. Check the calendar for times and locations.
Kids
From the annual Summer Reading program to holiday parties—that could include Dr. Seuss’ Birthday to
Banana Split Day! There are days to “Have Breakfast at the Library with Mother Goose” to craft days to “Wearing Your Clothes Backwards” day. We have programs to kickoff the Browns football season, Why Not? Wednesdays and programs to learn how to play games like Chess, or to learn how to knit or crochet! Kids programs are crafty, delicious, off the wall and traditional—and are limited only by the imaginations of our Children’s librarians. And they are always fun, always educational, all about reading and never-ending! Check out the calendar for times and locations.
Teens
Challenging, fun, creative and always for teens in grades 7 through 12! Not always for the faint of heart, but what a great way for teens to learn and have fun at the same time. Be a Teen Advisory Board member and help plan and produce a great time for you and your friends. Check out the calendar for times and locations.
Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy free movies at the West River Library! Old-time favorites, new releases, film festivals—we’ve got it all. Call for program schedules.
West River
Currently, our West River Library is the main location for adult and teen programming due to space limitations at our other locations. The Miller Room will hold close to 90 adults for a program, plus offers the ability for movie showing and Power-Point presentations, plus facilities to allow for refreshments. It’s definitely one busy place! For program information, please check the calendar for details.
