Children’s Services

Services:

·        Audio CDs, Books, Magazines  - children’s selections are available

·        Book Kits – books accompanied by audio tape or CD are available

·        Dial-a-Story – a phone number is available for patrons to use to access stories from home:  440-323-3333

·        Reading Guidance - trained professionals connect children to the materials they need for pleasure and projects

·        Special Materials - flash cards & puppets are available

·        Teacher Education Collections - current materials are grouped together for teacher enrichment and updates.  Big Books, puppets, classroom copies, science and multi-culture kits and other costly materials are available without reservations

Programs:

• Holiday Parties – the children’s department hosts free holiday-oriented festivities

·        Puppet Shows – performances allowing children to visualize stories with limited props and dialogue featuring puppets

·        Special Programs – current events and special interests are highlighted in programs program schedule 

·        Story Times – an introduction to library materials specific to age and attention story time schedule 

Summer Reading Clubs – extra programs planned to stimulate library visits and the joy of reading .
