The Elyria Public Library System has subscribed to Scholastic’s new BookFlix. This is a new online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction e-books from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. The engaging way to link fact and fiction, BookFlix reinforces early reading skills and introduces children to a world of knowledge and exploration. For example, the fictional video storybook, Danny and the Dinosaur would be watched and then the non-fiction book, Dinosaur Tracks, would be read. The site is designed especially for Grades PreK-3.
